When Stacey Flood goes for a peaceful walk in the woods, she gets down low to capture what Autumn on the forest floor looks like. Her first shot is such a classic fall in the forest, with an acorn, colorful mushroom and the “skeletons” of leaves already fallen, blanketing the ground. This is the time of year when more and more different varieties of fungi begin to pop up, but I’m not sure I’ve ever seen such a pretty colored shroom as the one in the bottom photo here today. It looks brown on the top, but the underside and stem seem bright orange. So pretty!
Then Stacey gets her camera right there on the ground to show everyone how magical this Keweenaw mushroom really is. Watch the sun dance in and out, making the mushroom glow. Nature at it’s finest!
