We started the week with Brita Haapala on Monday and we’re finishing up the week here on Saturday, with her, too. That’s her son fishing at the pond in the first shot, he blends right in with the fall colors and the reflection is outstanding, too.
The second photo makes me want to jump on my bike and ride down that colorful lane, bathed in beautiful Keweenaw Autumn scenery. You have to remember to look UP (not while riding a bike, though), too or you’ll miss much of the color. Fall surrounds you in these photos.
Brita’s last shot is a collection of Autumn, right there on the road. It’s neat to see the progression from summer green to the deepened hues of this pretty time of year.
Welcoming the arrival of Autumn, sandhill cranes in Paul Ignatowski’s U.P. backyard join the dance that lasts until frost arrives :)

Beautiful photos. No doubt Autumn colors are well on their way to peeking. Kathy and I spent some time at the U.P.'s Thunder Bay Inn this past week, and saw lots of Autumn colors on the way there and on the way home.

Can't get enough of the Autumn color pictures! Gorgeous! I'm with Mary - the second one just draws me in.

So gorgeous. They're so pretty out in Minnesota this year but nothing could top the beauty of autumn in the copper country.
