When Halli Lindley gets in touch with her friends and says, “Let’s go for a ride”, she doesn’t mean in a vehicle with wheels, she means on horseback! She did just that this past weekend and slowed down life for a bit to take in the view from her saddle. I haven’t ridden a horse since I was a kid going out to Gregorie’s stables on the Valley Road in Lake Linden, but I do recall how relaxing it was (unless I had one of the spunky horses), just sitting atop that horse, riding along with time to take in my surroundings. Halli and friends were able to see some of the color that’s taking place at the moment. It never ceases to amaze me, how some places are filled with color and others just miles away, are just beginning the color change.
Speaking of horses and riding...we recently had a group of riders that made people do a double take, thinking they were in the Wild West, rather than the Copper Country. Check out today’s video from Tom Romps over at the Downtowner Lounge in Houghton.

Very nice...in the video it looks like the horses are crossing at Sheldon and Mane.

lol...good one Alex! haha...
Wouldn't all that traffic scare them poor horses? And then going across the bridge? You REALLY gotta hope the bridge didn't go up! :D

"And sometimes even now, when I'm feeling lonely and beat, I drift back in time and I find my feet...Down on Mane-Street" (Seger, almost)
