Marcy Bessolo Hermanson has a recipe for finding calm during times of chaos and it always involves a trip to the shores of Lake Superior, with her rock picking trowel in hand. Not only is Marcy skilled at finding agates every time she hits the shores of the Big Lake, but she’s also skilled at snapping photos that bring peace to all who view them. Marcy snapped today’s examples this past Saturday and was lucky enough to spot a freighter off in the distance, passing by. It’s great to see these big boats back out there sailing our Great Lakes.
The next two shots don’t need any words, except to say that the beauty of the setting sun on the shores of Gitche Gumee is hard to beat. Just sit back for a minute and take in these scenes. And last but not least, Marcy’s fourth photo defines the quiet of a marshy field, with a canopy of clouds reflecting in the river waters and icy edges. Now tell me, can you feel the calm that washed over you viewing these scenes?
In case you need a little more, we have a Highlight Reel from Smart Creative that showcases the Keweenaw Peninsula in all four seasons. It’s a great compilation over the past year. Enjoy!
Stay safe, stay healthy and stay home.

Magnificent! The pics are stunning and that's about one of the BEST videos ever!

I agree! The pic named "Peaceful Serenity" would make an excellent video with the sun setting and the sound of the waves crashing on the shore.

O ye dogs! It's 3:15 AM on Monday, April 20, 2020 and no discussion for Sunday April 19?
Is this the first missed date in what, 24 years?
I certainly hope all's well with our Pasty Team, and no-one's down with any nasty COVID-19 virus!

FRNash...there hasn't been a discussion page on Sundays for just about a year now. Charlie usually posts an archive shot or something else, just on the Pasty Cam page (that's the page with the pictures for the whole week)...like here: Pasty Cam Page.
