It doesn’t get much better than this...photos at dusk on the shores of Lake Superior. Brita Haapala, from Brita Caroline Photography and a few of her kiddos make a social distancing drive to the Big Lake to catch what happens there at dusk this time of year. That first photo is a doozy, with a single star and the sliver of the moon in the early evening sky, but then throw in the silhouette of the kids jump, suspended in air and you have one of those photos that shouts out, frame me. Fun memories for the youngsters in later years for sure. The remaining two shots are beauties, too, with the glow in the sky and the shine on the ice, not to mention the soft pastels fading into the blue of the night. Brita adds that she loves this part of the lake at dusk. I can see why!
Our video is a project by Ann Gasperich, to bring a few seconds of peace and solitude in the midst of the turmoil going on in our lives. Today it’s quiet time at Esrey Park. Stay tuned for more of these seconds from Ann in the coming days.
Stay safe, stay healthy and stay home.
