Checking out the view from George C. Bailey’s vantage point in Eagle Harbor Township, you can see the many shades of blue that Lake Superior is displaying this year in late January. The shoreline here hasn’t built up with mountains of ice yet, but the ice that’s there has a beautiful blue hue to it for sure. The circles of ice are commonly called pancake ice and look like they’re decorated with a bit of whipped cream around the edges. Beautiful and chilling at the same time. Just ask George’s fingers!

Beautiful pic's, love the color of the Big Lake!! The video is great as well. We really enjoyed camping at Bobby's place in Gay the last two years, full hook up and right in front of Superior, it doesn't get any better!! I highly recommend his campground!!
