If you made the hike to the Hungarian Falls near Tamarack City earlier this spring, you were able to see them with all the spring run-off making them spectacular. Melanie Hakala Rossi hiked there recently and gives us a look at what the middle falls there are like with less water flowing over them. Still worth the trek in and I bet if that first photo had sound, it would still be quite relaxing to hear the water cascading over the rocks.
Melanie’s second photo was something she spotted along the way. Those are Lady Slippers and are a bit of a rarer springtime flower. Such a pretty color, they stand out in the woods, for sure.
More Lady Slippers, including some beautiful yellow ones, in today’s video from Doris Anne Beaulieu. They really do look like little slippers!

Can't beat the waterfalls but love the lady slippers!

Balance, composition, lighting, the first picture, Middle Hungarian Falls. Simple. Wonderful!

I agree Pat & Glenda (Gormfrog)! Great depth of field so the ferns in the foreground aren't out of focus!
