Chad Johnson took a drive to the Munising area this past weekend, to check out the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, capturing today’s photos of Miners Castle rock formation. He also spotted a boat tour going by, making a neat ripple effect from the wake on that beautiful, sunny day. So many treasures along Lake Superior’s shoreline to explore. We’re lucky to have folks like Chad so willing to share their adventures with us all.

We get to join a boat tour in our video today, published by David Simpson a couple years ago. Wait for it, if you get too close you may even get a little spray from the waterfall!

I've taken that boat tour on the Riptide!! Fun, but if it's rough and you have a bad back or kidney problems..... well you might want to think twice!! I was sitting in the front with Aunt Vic, luckily we found a young couple in the back that wanted to trade seats... I couldn't change quick enough!! But I still recommend the ride, it's absolutely beautiful scenery!!!

I agree, UC..."Stunning"! I viewed Miners Castle Rock over 55 years ago and took the boat tour several times. It's all etched in my memory now.
