Some of George C. Bailey’s friends wonder when he sleeps, because when he knows there will be a night light show of Aurora Borealis, he’s out there during the night to capture the display. George posted these beauties on his Facebook page and said this about that evening, “The aurora, the moon and a lot of other energy around midnight on the north shore of the Keweenaw Peninsula over looking Lake Superior near Dans Point in Eagle Harbor Twp., west of Copper Harbor, Michigan.
Today’s video, published by Knowpedia, will give some insight into how and why Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) appear in the skies above the Upper Peninsula and across the world.

Really beautiful photos of the Aurora Borealis! Hope the skies are clear in the Keweenaw when we travel up there later today. It's mighty foggy here in the Ishpeming area right now.
