After being cooped UP inside for a day and a half with the blizzard last week, Beth Jukuri was chomping at the bit to get outside and enjoy the beauty after the storm and she commented that there was heat in that sun in the first photo! Beth stood among the trees and just breathed it all in, saying that it felt like pureness and how nature is so good for the soul. Isn’t that just the perfect description of the photos she is sharing here today? The puffy snow, the blue sky, the untouched snow, it’s simply gorgeous and so serene, you can almost hear the quiet in Beth’s photos. I’d say this is the peak of perfection!

MI Playground takes us on a snowshoe adventure in St. Ignace after a fresh snowfall. They started at the Straits State Park and the Mackinac Bridge, then they head east to the Mertaugh Family Nature Preserve and the William B. Derby, Jr. Nature Preserve, both part of the Little Traverse Conservancy. Tag along and enjoy the adventure!

My husband just bought me
a Chevelle. And the other one said;
A Chevrolet Chevelle?
And the second woman said;
No, a Snow Chevelle.

look like they sure enjoyed themselves. I couldn't
do that if I tried being in hemolytic anemia with
my heart, I'd get tired too quickly. Heck, I got
tired watching them, that's such a great workout.

Les Cheneaux Distillery where they stopped to eat
is one of our favorite places to stop and eat
while in Cedarville. One of their Cosmopolitans
and my wife is in a great mood the rest of the
day. So much so, I tried to get her to have
another one, and our waitress turned to me and
said, "If she only want's one, then that's it,
besides, you aren't getting lucky tonight
anyway!!" We laughed so hard; her tip just went
way U.P.!! Beautiful area, I have my eye on a
piece of property there on one of the fingers that
goes out from the mainland, the only problem is...
it's too far away from decent medical care if
needed and I have to take that into consideration
from now on I think.

Alex, Mary is right, I laughed too at your joke.
As far as stamina goes, we sure did plenty of
snowshoeing while at NMU and it's a lot of work.
