When George C. Bailey looks out his window toward Lake Superior, he often cannot help himself, quickly dressing against the cold and winds, to go out and capture the scenes before him. These Mid-February shots show off the colors overlooking Lake Superior, changing and reflecting on the Big Lake ice, all in one day. The skies were blue, the clouds shining bright yellow and green, coloring the water and ice below...simply magical and quite spectacular. So much beauty right in our own backyard!
We’re going to take a walk with 906 Images, on the Lake Superior ice at Presque Isle in Marquette. Plus he’s going to take a dip with his camera to see what’s underneath the ice, too!

Beautiful, George! You have THE perfect spot there. It's so nice to see some color.

Nice set, George! I can’t believe the calm water in the first pic. I guess there were no Jet Ski’s out there that day. And was wondering were 906 was going in that video…nicely done.

Hi I like the first one; very calming. In the video, I'd think both the camera and the cameraman's hand would suffer from the dunk in cold water. Yii.
