Eagle Harbor is accumulating some ice around the Lighthouse and Marina and thanks to E. Neil Harri we get a front row seat to check out the conditions there. Surrounded in white, the Lighthouse really stands out and I like the mountain-like piles in the Harbor between the Light and the Marina, not to mention the huge snow and ice piled up on the rocks there, too. It looks like a large chunk broke off in the 4th photo. I don’t think folks will be docking their boats at the Marina any time soon, either.
E. Neil Harri also shares a video he recorded of the Eagle River Beach front, where the ice banks are building and Lake Superior waves are splashing in the distance. When I first started watching this video, I thought it was stuck, as it seems like nothing is happening, but then SPLASH...you see the waves crashing above the ice banks way off shore. If you want to hear the wind that day, turn up your volume!

These pictures made me think of George Hite and his writings he submitted.

What gorgeous pictures. I love how the lighthouse sticks out. It's one of my favorite lighthouses. Nice job.
