Melanie Hakala Rossi was out and about when the Keweenaw colors were at peak and she shares the beauty with us here today, starting with a country scene and a few dirt road shots. I really love the contrast of the colored foliage and the white birch trees in the third shot, but there’s something about hay bales in a field that always attracts my eye.

Then Melanie takes us to Mount Bohemia for a ride up the mountain on the ski lift to take in the scenic vista from the top of the mountain. WOW...does it get any better than this? We sure are blessed to have these scenes right here in our backyard. And for those that can’t get there in person, we’re so fortunate to have these photographers that snap the photos and willingly share them here on these pages. A big thanks to them all!

Just beautiful. We did the Mount
Bohemia ride too. It was so
braiding up there. It was not a
very nice day when we went, but it
was the last weekend so we decided
to go. We went on a Saturdsy, and
of course Sunday was beautiful.
Isn't that always the way?

How stunning....I do love the Birch trees at this
time of year and in the winter...up against pines
or any evergreens. Just stunning.

I agree with Donna, the birch trees are a great contrast to the other trees, so the road scenes are my favorites.
