Judy Byykkonen recently celebrated a birthday and was blessed to have a number of outings with family and friends to enjoy the occasion. Today’s array of photos were from what she called her “last birthday” dinner, which she enjoyed something she never gets enough of... mother-daughter time. The pair went to Copper Harbor for the evening, had dinner at the Harbor Haus and enjoyed the setting sun over Lake Superior and the Harbor. My favorite is the first shot, with her daughter taking a picture of the sunset, where you can see it through Judy’s phone, her daughter’s phone and through her daughter’s glasses, too. Such a unique capture, it really caught my eye. Of course the other photos then give you the full view of the scene, which is also fun to see those progressions. All in all, I’d venture to say that Judy had a wonderful evening, good company, good food and good views.

And since we’re already in Copper Harbor, I thought it only fitting to share a sunset video from the Harbor, too. Steve Brimm reminds us all to: Shine on People!

Great sunset pictures - a bonus day! Nice to have multiple celebrations. But i don't like the idea of the 'last birthday' dinner. The last of many this year? The last because of a specific birthday number? Or the last because......? That isn't something i'd put out there in the universe. I'm probably not getting the joke.

That first photo is very good. It
really grabs you. And you can
never get enough of sunrise and
sunset pictures. Thanks for
sharing.

Jbuck...i think Judy was saying this was the last of a number of birthday dinners she was lucky enough to enjoy this year!

This is gorgeous...and Happy Birthday Judy!

That vid is awesome. Close my eyes and listen to
the waves. Just gorgeous.

We've had so many gorgeous sunsets at our vacation
home that we'd facetiously say "Another boring
sunset". Although we're on Lake Huron near
Cheboygan, our part of the coast points northwest.

I have a birthday coming up in October, but I'll be
spending it downstate, sigh.

Sunrise, sunset
Swiftly fly the years
One season following another
Laden with happiness and tears.”
