Liz Siivola was out and about and thought it was neat to capture the Swedetown Swans with the Osceola Mine Shaft in the background. The new and the old... I have to agree 100%!
Then Jean Dessellier made a visit to the Swedetown Ponds and captured some close-up shots of the Swan parents and their four cygnets, still all fuzzy and cute, but beginning to feather out. Jean said it was fun watching them and that they were so friendly, the entire family came up to shore right in front of her twice to check her out and then they all were cleaning themselves... amazing birds! Again, I would have to agree! It’s fun to see photos of them every so often to see how they’re growing.
Jeff Dennis didn’t capture the cygnets on camera, but did record some baby ducklings while he was kayaking near Mount Bohemia. I think Fritz would have liked to jump in and join them swimming around.

A set that has relaxation written all over it. Nice video too with Fritz acting as our tour boat commentator.

Are these gorgeous! Don't the swans get ticked off when you are close and come out to attack?? Stunning pics....and I take it, the beaks turn black when they become adults??
I bet Fritz jumped into the water once, and learned "that's not a plan". whatta lil gent...

Beautiful pics and great video of Lac La Belle and Superstar Fritz! How do you keep Fritz from jumping in, Jeff? lol
