Paul W. Smith and the crew from WJR (in Detroit) did their popular morning show today from the D&N tower in Hancock. Through the window to Paul's left is a bird's-eye view of the Portage Lift Bridge

One active octogenarian who can be seen tooling around the Keweenaw is Eldon Jones, formerly of Florida and Stanton, Mich., now a full time Copper Country resident.

The Michigan House in Calumet, as seen from the corner of 6th and Oak. This historic establishment recently reopened under new management.

We bid a fond farewell to Jerry and Katie Goodell, headed back home to Florida, having served the past 5 weeks as camp workers here in the Copper Country. Can you tell they love pasties?
