Until I saw these overhead photos snapped by 906 Images, I didn’t realize how large Presque Isle Park in Marquette, is. 906 Images describes it as expansive, which is the perfect word to portray the size of this park. And of course Presque Isle Park includes the Blackrocks, where the folks who are brave enough, jump off into Lake Superior. If you’re looking at these photos and thinking that it’s not really all that big, then look closer at the second, third and fourth photos and find the paddleboarder in each shot, that will help you appreciate the size of the area.

We join CDR Adventures for a look at both Presque Isle Park and the Blackrocks from on land. He said it was a great way to start the morning with a stroll down the pier and a short cliff hike to the famous Blackrocks cliff jumping area. Anyone want to take the leap?

Leaving tomorrow, camping our way U.P., with

Blackrocks is such a cool place. We go there often when the

waves are crashing but are careful not to get too close to the

edges. Our kids and grandkids love jumping off the rocks. Even

my husband did it a few years ago at 75 years young. Not me! It

was fun to see an arial view.

I'm with you, Laurie. I'm not that
great of a swimmer. And heights
scare me.
