906 Images was out recently along the shores of Lake Superior where he spotted a scary, ice creature lurking about with long white fangs. Luckily it was too frozen to do anything more than pose for a picture. Next he came upon a large chunk of ice that stood out from the rest due to it’s aquamarine color and shiny surface. I’m not certain, but am assuming that’s the same ice chunk in both photos, snapped from different angles. Just imagine the wild waves that must have been to propel that large piece of ice up onto the rest of the ice shelf there. The bottom photo is interesting with the pink skyline and the moon just above it, contrasting the puffy looking ice built up like clouds on the shoreline. What a grand selection of icy Superior beauty.

The video is from 906 Images also, giving us a brief look at the return of winter with winds howling, snow blowing and waves washing ashore. It’s titled, “Winter came back along the Lake Superior shoreline”... and it looks like it means it! For the full effect, turn UP the volume.

Very cool pictures! Those ice
chunks are amazing and I love the
sea creature.

How cool...LOVE that sea creature. Looks like maybe
a tree under it? Awesome!

And I meant to add:

• Lake Linden-Hubbell downed Calumet 58-50. Emily
Jokela of the Lakes led all scorers with 30
points, and surpassed Angela Guisfredi to become
the all-time leading scorer in Lake Linden women’s
basketball history. With 1,344 career points, she
is now just six points away from passing Tyler
Roose to become the school’s all-time leading
overall scorer. The Lakes improve to 20-1, with
one regular-season game remaining.

CONGRATULATIONS EMILY JOKELA!! That is so huge!

Emily is so good. And she can
pitch and hit the ball in softball
too. Just a great all around
athlete. You'd think she'll be
able to write her own ticket to
college. Is she a junior or
senior? Her parents must be so
proud!

Nice pix, 906! The first one reminds me
of my hair style back in the 70s, man.
And I wonder how many Jack Frosties
you can make out of that chunk of Blue Ice?

Winter came back last night - cold and a couple inches of snow. Bright sunshine and with no wind everything was outlined with snow. But no blue ice or Black Rocks! Noooo comparison.

I love the "Winter is Back" video, but it looked like it wasn't even snowing yet.
