Debbie Jarve sent in today’s frosty variety after snapping them last week. We’ve had some record temperatures this past week, but several of the mornings we awoke to frosted windshields and decks. The morning Debbie snapped these, we even had a bit of fog, along with Hoar Frost covering just about everything in sight. Sure made for some beautiful photos and as the day warmed UP to the record warmth, that frost melted quite quickly.
Speaking of melting, we have a video today from Wander Dano who gives us a look at the folks ice fishing out on Bay de Noc in Gladstone at the end of January – he recorded it from the shore, as he wasn’t going out on the ice with the temperature being in the 40’s. I don’t blame him, I wouldn’t have either.

Those are just outstanding...The only thing that would have made them better is the sun!
Great Vid...sent it to my Niece..she lives in Happy Rock. (Gladstone)...she said "Yep..this is it"...
Donna, just got a foot here in northeast CT.....come & get it, free!

Hi I agree with Wander Dano about not going out on questionable ice.
I also agree with him, and Donna, that it would be nice to get some more snow before February ends. Glad I'm not the only one.

Very nice pictures. I especially like the apples and needles. So cool looking.
I spent a few weeks in Gladstone one summer. I loved it there.

Cool pix…that’s a lot of frost nipping at your nose, Jack. Interesting video and I don’t think I’d be out there on that ice, but I’m sure they know what they’re doing. Just stay frosty.

These kinds of pictures are the best part of Winter.
Yes Donna, sunlight can usually make them better, although the gloomy, foggy ones have their own attraction.
