The deer were slower coming to Little Traverse Beach this year, Jeff Dennis reported. It could be the lack of snow wasn’t pushing them to head to the deer yards where they spend the winter as the snow gets too deep in the woods. But whatever the reason, this past week, Jeff’s game camera caught a few enjoying the Beach and the view of Lake Superior. The camera also captured Jeff bringing some feed for their visitors, too. Fritz stayed in the truck, probably because he might scare off the deer otherwise. No worries, though, he was alert and watching the deer to make sure they were doing only what they should and he was also supervising Jeff from the driver’s seat. Fritz is in charge!
Jeff also captured a video of the deer on Eagle Harbor Beach in Keweenaw County, last week. Their ears perked up when they heard Fritz give out a bark at them from the truck. Not long after that, they ran off.

What cool pictures! As soon as I saw the first one I knew they were Jeff's. And I get it with the deer. They kept coming to our yard until mid January, when there were blizzards. And we keep wondering if they're going to get confused and come back. I hope not. Ya never know when there'll be a blizzard.
Fantastic pics!! I too knew it was jeff and what can you say about that boy Fritz, they don't come any cuter! I think he'd be buds with Finn & Whit(aka Jumper).
