Nancy Haun is the President of the Bishop Baraga Foundation and takes care of the Shrine and the grounds, so she has many opportunities to see the Shrine in all kinds of light. She shared the first two photos recently. The first one with the sun shining on Bishop Baraga, making it appear like he’s silver in color. The second one she snapped on her way home from church on a Saturday evening. Dusk was just falling and the sky in the background is gorgeous.
Nancy continued on her way home after the evening shot at the Shrine and was greeted by the scene in her third photo, of her neighbor’s Christmas tree reflecting in their pond. Then a couple nights later and a few degrees colder, the pond was frozen and a deer had appeared. More reflections, just not as clear as before the water became hard.
Since we’re kind of on the Christmas theme with the lights and trees from Nancy, we may as well continue with Christmas Ornaments that Rock! Rob over at Michigan Rocks shares a ‘short’, showing some of the Christmas ornaments he polishes and makes from his finds when he goes on a rock hunt.

Nancy is one busy lady…sweet pix! And a nice video too, but with rock ornaments on your tree, it better have a sturdy stand. Otherwise it will rock and roll.

The 2 pictures of the Bishop couldn't be more different, but both are perfectly beautiful!
Funny how that deer showed up by the pond.... we have a white lighted moose that moves it's head and startles people at times.
