Here in the Keweenaw, fall colors are just beginning to arrive. Beth Jukuri and the WIND (Women in New Directions) ladies recently took a hike along the Maasto Hiihto trails in Hancock. In Finnish, Maasto Hiihto means “cross country ski”, but in the spring, summer and fall, the trails are a great place to hike, too. Beth commented that “there’s nothing like the woods in the fall”. And after looking at the photos of their hike, I’d have to agree, especially with the fall colors just beginning. Those splashes of color add an extra element of beauty to the woods. It sure looks like a peaceful place for a hike.
Since it’s Monday and you just might be dragging if you have to get back to work after the weekend. Steve Brimm has a Copper Harbor kind of day video for us that’s actually in Monday speed (slo-mo for all those that aren’t up to speed yet).
