Fritz the kayaking wonder-dog really keeps Jeff and Chris Dennis busy with the many kayaking adventures he takes them on and in turn, they take us to places you might not otherwise see from the water. Today we head to Bete Grise for a look at the Mendota Lighthouse, an old beached boat, and some beautiful scenery. It’s such a peaceful place to kayak as it’s sheltered and there’s plenty of wildlife to see, too. I almost forgot about the flyover they had from a colorful seaplane when they were near the channel irons at the entrance to the harbor there. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s Pasty Cam, as that same seaplane and a couple others will be featured, close-up!

Jeff’s video was a surprise to him when it happened. He told me that Fritz has never jumped in the water before and as soon as he got to the end of his leash he turned around and swam back to the kayak. Then when Jeff lifts him back into the kayak, Fritz gives him a shake and a nice little shower... what a little sass! Jeff titled this one, “Apologies to the duck”. It looked like the duck was going to challenge Fritz at first, but maybe thought better of it and headed the other way.

Great set for this holiday! Thanks for mentioning that was a boat, Mary, at first it looked like a collapsed dock to me!

The video was great too - and shows why lil' Fritz has a life vest on! The duck will probably tell his buddies HE won that round!

Have been watching the walkers on the Mackinac Bridge cam - they have a good morning for their stroll.

Fantastic pics & video, Lac La Belle, the Mendota
channel and Bete Gris, definitely one of my
favorite places, been boating there all my life.
Use to get yelled at for water skiing through the
channel. The video of Fritz is just great and he
got to cool off as well! Fritz needs his own blog
I think :=)) How about this Jeff, "Fridays with
Fritz" got to say, I like it lol!

Made it up to the bridge last night for my better
half to walk across AND BACK lol. Home now, Bucket
list checked off, 530 miles in 20 hours, check!
