Bob Gilreath and his wife, Liz were on a bit of a road trip and stopped along M-28 in Alger County to check out Scott Falls. Located east of Au Train and west of Christmas, you can find the falls across the road from the H.J. Rathfoot State Roadside Park. Compared to other falls in the U.P., Scott Falls would be considered a “mini” falls with a 10 foot drop, but well worth the stop as you can go behind the falls in a small, carved out cavern-like opening. You can see Liz standing there in the first photo. Fun stop to stretch your legs on a trip and capture some fun photos, too.

Further along the Gilreath’s travels, just south of Covington, they spotted a couple moose alongside the road and made a quick stop to capture them before continuing on their way home. It’s always a treat to see these large animals in your travels, they can be a bit elusive, so you have to be on the lookout for a photo-op like this.

Bob recorded a “mini” video of Liz behind the “mini” falls, too. Don’t blink or you might miss her!

8 year old found safe after 2 days in the wild

boy survival skills at such a young age......needs
a gold bar handed to them

Nante is a very special little boy, but according to another story his uncle wasn't very careful:

“So my uncle, he said to go back to camp and I couldn’t say, `I don’t know the way back to camp' because he’d already turned around and left," he told ABC’s “Good Morning America.”

“I prayed for being found and not stuck out here for the rest of my life,” Nante said, adding that he ate snow to stave off hunger during his predicament.

THAT is what I'm saying...his survival skills are
magnificent and whoever taught him how to do
that....unreal.

Have passed Scott Falls for decades and enjoyed them afar - even stopping at the rest area. But have never taken the time to walk over and see them up close. Beautiful!
