It’s something Judy Byykkonen does just about every day...get her “girls” out for a walk somewhere. She has a number of places around the Calumet area that they enjoy getting outdoors at, but one of her favorites is Gardener’s Creek Nature Trail located in the CLK School Forest, across from Calumet Waterworks Park (a.k.a. Bucky’s). The trail is 1.6 miles along an interpretive pathway. Judy says the peace and quiet is just perfect there and on her most recent visit the ice formations along Gardener’s Creek were absolutely gorgeous. I can certainly see why it’s one of her favorites.
We lucked out, because if you were thinking how nice it would be if we could hear that babbling creek, Judy has that covered for us... make sure your volume is turned up and enjoy!
