Tahquamenon Falls near Paradise is absolutely stunning in the winter, too. The ice builds up along the edges of the falls and on the walls adjacent and actually gets quite thick. Yet the tanin colored water continues to rush over rapidly, still creating a mist around you on the viewing deck. Brenda Leigh was there recently and snapped some photos, including one of the new “greeter” at the entrance to the falls. It brought a smile to her face and I imagine to many other visitors it was there to welcome to the Falls.
MI Playground was also there at the Falls, but a few weeks earlier. They captured some video footage, along with a few snapshots within the video, too. Thank goodness for all our adventurous viewers!

I'm always in awe of Tahquamenon. What a gorgeous spot. Listening to them goes a step further. Thanks, Brenda.

Just beautiful in all seasons. One of my favorite UP destinations along with the nearby restaurant/brewery.

Hi Looks like less ice & snow than when I was there years ago in the winter. Of course, the last time I was there it was in the single digits. Beautiful anyway.

With the Tahquamenon River's watershed so frozen and flat, I'm wondering where all that water comes from.
