Judy Byykkonen took her pups out to Calumet Waterworks Park for a run last week one day and found an eerie looking fog hovering way off shore. In the pictures that fog makes it look like it’s ice out on Lake Superior as far as you can see, but I know that’s not really the case. Zelda, Giselle and Minnie didn’t seem to be bothered by the fog offshore. It’s so fun that they stop and pose for Judy to snap a photo of their cute little faces like this. Judy is getting pretty good at spotting faces in the snow and ice, too. Can you see the “ogre” face with beard in the last photo? Hint: It’s a side view.

906 Images takes us on a quick frozen wonderland tour in Marquette of some Lake Superior shoreline ice. I’m always so thankful that folks like this take us to places we might otherwise never get to see.

Judy's pictures are always good. I love the
picture of her dogs. They're so cooperative
because Judy is so good to them. I do not
see an ogre face, but that's me. But Ron
didn't either.
These people in this video are silly to go
out there. I get uncomfortable just watching
the video. But Mary is so right in being
thankful that there are those who are
willing to brave these conditions in order
to get us these pictures in videos. Winter
is not my time for doing that.

The night, like clean water and the wolf, is getting away from us. Our cities are filled with children who have never seen the Milky Way...Good chance of Auoras tonight, if we have a clear sky!
