When it comes to being patient to get the perfect photograph, Chris Hendra wins the prize. He sits quietly in his “blind” waiting for critters to come along and his patience pays off as you can see in today’s quartet of photos. The first shot is my favorite, along with the title Chris gave it – Thanksgiving. The way the buck is looking UP, it’s like he’s giving thanks for having survived this year’s firearm season. My next favorite is the bottom photo... just look at the anticipation on that buck contemplating the snow-topped apples he’s going to leap up and grab from that tree. Indeed, Chris doesn’t just capture the shot, he also captures the emotion of the moment, too. Check out more of Chris’ photography on his Facebook page by clicking here: Chris Hendra Photography
We join Lisa from Northwoods to Nautical for a snowy walk in the woods with their German Shepard dogs. A peaceful morning jaunt to start out their day.

Beautiful post this morning! There's some of those apples from earlier this week - about to be savored by the deer. Chris does an amazing job with lighting and getting the detail in the deers' coats.
Love the video too with the dogs playing in the snow covered woods!

Beautiful buck in these photos. Tho they don't always clear my fences as they jump over and mending is needed, deer are still amazing in my eyes.

Regarding Sharon Smith's burial fund. Couldn't some of the equity in her house help with her burial? I assume a lawyer is handling the estate. The "go fund me" is a beautiful gesture of loving friendship, but looking at the timeline so far I don't think it will succeed. I also would like her last wishes completed. sincerely, FJL.

I like the top pic a lot, but my favorite is the last one. I love the way he's just looking at those apples. Just beautiful.
I love the walking video too.
