Donna MacIntosh doesn’t drive anymore, so when her friend comes to take her out for a ride, she always says she’s been “sprung” from her “cell” and she absolutely appreciates being out there with her camera snapping shots to share. On their latest excursion they drove around the Traprock Valley roads up to the Ahmeek area where Donna found some outstanding color to photograph, along with some interesting Fall décor. Check out that old Dodge truck on display with colorful plantings around it. Donna said it had a fountain in front and if you look close at the front view of the truck, you can see water running down the radiator vents. How fun is that?

Then Donna spotted some deer...several live ones and a decoy on someone’s grave (RIP) in the Ahmeek cemetery, complete with a bright orange hood on so it doesn’t get shot at by hunters. What a fun drive!

Speaking of drives...Cathy McKenzie is taking us on one. She says: “Colors here in the Keweenaw are exploding!! Love the fall season, just wish it lasted a little bit longer...” I totally agree, Cathy!

What glorious pictures, just beautiful. I
just love the truck pictures. I love those
old trucks. And I love seeing them in
people's yards decorated for the season.
Just cool. Great pictures, Donna! The video
is breathtaking. What a beautiful time of
year!

AND, if you ever get the chance, go to the Ahmeek
Cemetery at dusk. The solar lites start popping
on....it's such an amazing thing to see~ That place
is so gorgeous...yeah, it's a cemetery, but it's so
beautiful..so decorated. It's just awesome!

And one more thing...if you have a disabled friend,
take them for a spin now and again...you truly have
no idea what that'll do for one of us!

Great Pics (Again) that top pic is just amazingly
vibrant!! Nice shootin MS DONNA!! Speaking of
shooting... anyone who would take a shot at that
decoy in a cemetery... well let's just say they
shouldn't own a gun!!
Like my buddy Alex, that video had my left heel
keepin the beat too! Nice work Cathy!!

Deb... posted a question from yesterday's pics. lol

Thank You UC....I think "no sun" makes a prettier
red showing on the camera?? A good red in the sun
is hard to get!

Did we laugh at that decoy!

Many, many thanks to Donna - and Deb from yesterday - for the spectacular pictures of the beauty in the CC. How great it would to have been along on both your tours! You can almost smell the musty leaves.

I'd like to see one of those YouTube mechanics work at getting that old Dodge running again, like they do when they find a tractor in the woods. I've see bicycles incorporated as part of landscaping but not a vehicle let alone a 1940's pickup.
