Judy Byykkonen likes to spend time at McLain State Park any time of year, but especially enjoys the solitude she can find around dusk this time of year. The camping season hasn’t really begun yet, so she often finds herself there alone to enjoy the sun going down, lighting up the horizon. She was recently out there doing a bit of “rock-hounding” and was treated to the scenes in her photos here today. They’re all pretty pictures, but her bottom photo is my favorite with the different hues in the sky, the moon shining bright and the Upper Entry Light lighting a streak on Superior’s surface. Just gorgeous!
The feature video for today takes us to McLain, also. Team Gauthier gives us a taste of their camping adventure and what the park has to offer for campers

Stunning pictures, Judy. All I can say is
WOW!!
The video was very nice. Loved their view
at the end of the day, looking past the
lighthouse and out to sea. Just mesmerizing.
