Debbie Jarve has the best view from her work windows, all different angles and places. The first two shots from her today are ones she snapped at MTU from the building she works in, looking down College Ave. toward the Portage Lake Lift Bridge and then looking out across the canal on a cold morning with the smoke catching the pink from the sunrise. She definitely has a ‘bird’s eye view’.

The last two shots are taken closer to the ground. Mont Ripley with the lights on for night skiing is absolutely magical. I’m not exactly sure where Debbie’s last photo was snapped, but the setting sun was coloring the sky beautifully and the Stars and Stripes complete it for me. Our video today is another night scene, with Broken English Hiker, Suyeon and her friend doing some night hiking on snowshoes at the Swedetown Trails, complete with headlamps to light the way.

What spectacular pictures. The first one
with the moon off in the distance is so
cool. And the morning steam was nice. The
Mont Ripley picture is awesome. And how can
you not love a picture with both a sunset
AND the American flag. Thanks for sharing

And the video was definitely a nice walk. I
definitely don't like walking at night but
they sure made it sound inviting, even
though she kept saying it was cold, lol.
