If you’re a rail fan, then today’s your day on the Pasty Cam. Nancy Haun shares a portfolio of her Canandian National train photos. We’ll cross the Falls River on the trestle there, then we’ll roll into downtown Herman. After that we cross the Golf Course Road, with Derek waving from the engine window. Next we see the CN climbing the L’Anse Hill like it’s coming right out of a snow squall. And finally a shot where the L’Anse Hill meets the Bovine track.
Nancy said: “I want to be a three season conductor only, after watching Derek trudge through the deep snow working on those icy cold cars and Nick keeping a sharp eye on the whole operation in less than ideal conditions. It’s a tiring and exhausting occupation, but full of glamour and excitement for those of us who watch!” I’d have to agree with her, it doesn’t seem quite as glamorous in the wintry months of the year here UP North.
In today’s video, Nancy stands out in a snow storm and catches the Snow Fighter (a.k.a. Ballast Regulator), with Tim at the helm, clearing the tracks for the trains.

Cool pics & video Nancy!! I like seeing the trains
almost as much as looking at the lake freighter's!
Tim has a neat and big job keeping the tracks
cleared!!
"Oh here it comes!! Train train take me on out of
this town!!"-Blackfoot
(Great driving song for along U.S. 2 or M 28,
but... be careful... it'll make your right foot
kinda heavy and introduce you/me to a bunch of
hard working State Trooper's!! lol
Good Morning Pasty Folks!! :=))
