Thanks to Julie Waara, we get a nighttime look at the decorations going up at the Bridgeview Park and the Houghton Waterfront. I guess you can say it’s beginning to look like December, with Christmas in mind. We’ve had a dumping of snow since Julie snapped these photos last week, too, so I bet it’s even more magical with the blanket of snow all around. I wish we could pipe in some Christmas music, then the scenes would be complete!

Speaking of a dumping of snow, it’s just what the snow enthusiasts have been hoping for, to get outdoors and enjoy some winter sports, including snowmobiling. Today’s video from Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula is your “Key to Your Snowmobile Adventure” here in the Keweenaw. Check it out!

What a wonderful video. Wow!! Pics are gorgeous
too.

Very cool pictures. We're gonna pick my mom
up and bring her around the area looking at
lights. That looks like a good place to
start. Does anybody know of a good place to
look? In Minnesota, the towns have special
nights to go around looking at lights in
different towns, with maps and all. Amazing
what some people can do with lights.

Four years ago today my mother-in-law passed
away from a heart attack. That was such a
shock because she was always so healthy.
Doesn't seem like 4 years already. Also
happy heavenly birthday to my grandmother.
She's been gone for 40 years already. So
hard to believe.

And 80 years ago was Pearl Harbor. One of so
many horrible days in history. Our
generation will never see the world live
together in peace and harmony. Let's pray
our children and grandchildren figure it
out.

Nice! And remembering Pearl Harbor, 911 and the
slain students at Oxford High.
I have to agree with Deb..."Our generation will
never see the world live together in peace and
harmony." We are in a downward-spiral that we can't
seem to pull out of.
Charlie...just wondering: Did you go to Oxford
High?

Very good observation, Deb and Alex. The only way we can rise up from the current chaos and lawlessness in our country is to enforce existing laws and hold all violators accountable to the fullest extent of the laws. Yes, that includes you politicians too.
May 2022 be a brighter, saner, safer, and more peaceful year for all Americans.
