The Keweenaw is always Don Afman’s (a.k.a. MidwestEd) first “Go To” location he says, so for the maiden voyage of his travel trailer, that’s where he headed, hoping that he wouldn’t have missed the peak fall colors. He said preparations took longer than expected getting his trailer provisioned for the trip, but due to the color coming a bit later to the Keweenaw and staying longer, it all turned out pretty well. Don said he found places of mixed quality intriguing with some good color, yet also reminders of the cold future that lies ahead for weather here UP North. He enjoyed the challenge of capturing this contrast.
Don headed out on the North Entry Road to the public access area on the Portage River Harbor of Refuge along the Lower Entry of the Portage Canal. He showcases a fishing boat tied up there looking out toward the entry and the Lighthouse in the distance. Then a closer look at the lighthouse at the end of the pier out there at White City and lastly several of the navigational aids along the canal to help boaters coming and going.
Our video today, takes us to the eastern end of the U.P., to check out MI Playground’s Soo Fall Bucket List.

Very nice. But fur some reason, I can't
get the video again today.
Teeny snowflakes today. Have to hurry and
dig a spot for flowers so we can throw some
seeds on top of the snow and let them melt
down into the soil. I swear there's always
stuff to do with this move.
