We’ve followed the WIND (Women in New Directions) group of ladies on several adventures before, this time we’re getting a look at their camping weekend on the banks of the Sturgeon River. The description on their Facebook page says: Empowering women thru art, nature, and movement to overcome life challenges and embrace their own unique spirit! This camping excursion pretty much covered it all, art (decorating their campsite with lights), nature (living right alongside it for the weekend), movement (setting up their campsite, along with kayaking in the river) and overcoming challenges (setting up everything needed for their campout). I’m always impressed with all these ambitious ladies, how they undertake a challenge and enjoy themselves immensely while doing so. Of today’s photos, snapped by Judy Byykkonen, I think the evening/night photos are my favorite, I love the glow of the lights in them.
To top off the camping event, we join Steve Brimm from over at Steve Brimm Photography for 20 Seconds of ‘Sittin’ On The Dock Of The Bay’. Make sure your speakers are turned up to hear the soothing and calming sounds of the water lapping gently on the shoreline.

To my everlasting discredit, I hesitated. I was late. Missed the bandwagon.
Nice set! "Living on the riverside taking it all in my stride. Living on the riverside, I'm taking life like a big long ride. You stay on your side and I'll stay on mine You take what you want and I'll take the sunshine." (America)

My wife would have been "OK" this style of camping. Her idea of "roughing it" was when she could only bring one suitcase to the hotel room.
