Time for another update on the Swedetown Swans. There are a number of folks that have been keeping an eye on the Trumpeter Swans at the Swedetown Ponds and we have a photographic report from one of them today, Stacey Flood. She reports that they are doing well and the Cygnets are growing like weeds! In fact, you can see that they’re quickly catching up to Mom and Dad in size, even. It’s heartwarming to see all five of the Cygnets surviving under the protection of their parents and maybe those bulrushes to hide in when needs be.
Today’s video is also heartwarming...a Mute Swan who lost her mate several months before, befriends this woman who was sitting by the pond on her farm and they do a sort of dance together. Blessed by nature allowing such closeness to one of God’s creatures.

Nice pics and video. I think if that were a man sitting there, well... let's just say it might have gotten ugly and bandages might have been required!!! lol :=))

Way to cool...what a beautifully, hipnotic bird. It was like a Vulcan mind-meld. Don't forget to FULL-SCREEN it.
