Michigan Technological University Winter Carnival All-Nighter and statue building is complete for 2021. Organized by Blue Key National Honor Society since 1934, Winter Carnival started in 1922 and has grown into one of the biggest annual winter celebrations in the nation. The theme this year was "Our Favorite Cartoons for Snowy Afternoons". For complete results of the winners in each category see yesterday’s featured Pasty Cam video from the MTU Winter Carnival website.
Excellent walk-thru, thanks for sharing! Uno of my favorite annual sets.

I was worried there wouldn't be enough snow mass this year for decent statue construction. It does look like some are smaller in size, but I think that also gave more time to greater attention to detail.
I used to be a photographer for "The Lode" and yearbook. Back then we also published a full, glossy paper, color magazine for Winter Carnival.
It was and is extremely difficult to get good contrast photos especially when the skies are overcast. Today's high dynamic range feature on some digital cameras can help fix that but the technology is overlooked by many.

Sadly, we couldn't make it up this year, but from the sounds of it we'd still be there with the weather. I imagine planes are not coming in/out of the airport.
