I bet our regular viewers knew who took these photos, without having to read the notes. If you said Beth Jukuri, you’re correct. I am constantly amazed at the fun things she finds to photograph on her rural mail route, in case you couldn’t tell. Beth told me that she does lots of backing up to snap a shot of something that has made her chuckle or that catches her eye as she’s driving along the country roads of her route.

The collection is diverse today, starting with a mucky looking dirt road, a beautiful horse and a donkey in a blue box. Interesting indeed, but then there is this tree that looks like it’s pregnant. Beth said this tree has had her attention for years and in the fall/winter when the sun hits it just right, it is outstanding. Goodness, it even looks like it has a belly button in just the right spot!

Her last photo is something the birds will need, food for the coming winter months. A great example of nature taking care of nature.

The donkey and horse photos had me wondering what the differences in them are. This video clears up some of the things that set each one apart. Who knew that donkeys are smart enough to think and reason? Wow!

I've heard that they don't admit donkeys to college, because nobody likes a smart a**.

Cool beans, and if you have a "ranch" with other
critters that need protection, like an alpaca
ranch..the DNR will give you a mule (they used to
anyway)as they protect their herd...they'll take
down a wolf in a heartbeat!!

Nice set, but the burro in the Donkey Shelter has
a look of foreboding exile. And if the
hubby is exiled, is he sent to the Donkey House?
And what's up with that tree?...It looks like it's
maple syrup if about to break!
