Copper Harbor is the last town you’ll enter UP near the tip of the Keweenaw and E. Neil Harri is flying over, giving us a “bird’s eye view” around town. We’re flying from the Mandan Road and US-41, to a view looking at Fanny Hooe, Lake Superior and everything in between. From there Neil flies us over the downtown district of Copper Harbor and finishes with a view that includes three of the eateries there in town. The colors hadn’t quite “popped” the day Neil snapped these shots, but there’s definitely some color in those trees.

Today’s video is a drive to Copper Harbor on what the film maker called, “The World’s Most Beautiful Road – The Trail to Copper Harbor.” I am in total agreement with that statement, it sure is a gorgeous ride any day of the year, but of course Autumn is when you’ll find the most color. Enjoy the ride, folks!

Thanks Neil! Beautiful shots - and no 'white' in sight that day (like yesterday morning!)

Most Beautiful Road honors are spot on! Just watch out for those leaf peepers who aren't keeping their eyes on the road!

One of the best motorcycle roads that I've ever
rode down. The non-stop ups and downs, twists and
curves...it's feels like flying an airplane.

I agree. That is a beautiful road that we've
taken, mostly in the fall to see the colors.
Otherwise, we usually take the lake shore
drive, which is spectacular no matter the
season. Well, maybe not winter.
There is a drive that rivals that in the fall,
and pretty much any time of year, (except
winter). That's the covered road on the way
to Freda and Redbridge. It's such a beautiful
drive. Either way, you can't go wrong no
matter which you choose to do. It's all
spectacular.
Great pictures, too.

Beautiful aerials from our favorite pilot!

I must cast a counter vote for the best ride. I prefer the rock and rolling of M-26 along the north shore. It doesn't have quite the color impact during Autumn but its closeness to The Lake more than make up AND its a roller coaster to boot.

I'm not sure if the Harbor Haus still greets the Isle Royale Queen upon its return from Isle Royale but back in 2013 all the wait staff came out to greet us with a little line dancing, Can Can style.

Beautiful photos and Video, it truly is the Worlds
most beautiful road. However, they left out Lake
Medora on the way, a fantastic inland lake in the
Keweenaw. I was on 41 the week of 10/5 and the
colors were absolutely brilliant and Mary you're
right, it's a gorgeous ride anytime of year!! Going
to try and make it back U.P. in November!!

U.C., On short notice this is the best Lake Medora I have, from 2018, during overcast skies, and no sunlight in sight. I took this from US-41 to the far shore of Lake Medora.
