Chad Johnson and John Kurkowski, sure know how to kayak. It seems like they take off on a kayak excursion each weekend, weather permitting. This past weekend, they set off from Seven Mile Point, heading towards the Gratiot River. They were provided with great exploring information, including agate hunting tips from the host at Seven Mile Point Conservancy. With that, away they paddled.
I knew the shoreline of Lake Superior was rocky, but Chad’s photos show some pretty large rocks and outcroppings of them, too. And check out the fog that rolled in. Gives the photos an eerie, mysterious vibe for sure. I’m guessing the fog was a result of the humidity and the temperature of the water combined. Who thinks Chad and John should start guided kayak tours? They sure do seem to find some great places to explore.
For the most part, Lake Superior looked fairly calm this day, but Chad’s video gives the impression that the water was a bit choppy as it was splashing on the shoreline rocks. Make sure your volume is UP, so you can hear the water sounds, too.

Nicely done...I imagine you would need some kayaking experience to paddle in that choppy water.
