On the route again! Tell the truth now, did you sing that to the tune of Willie Nelson’s, On the Road Again? I know I did, when I typed it. You know the U.S. Postal service motto is: Neither snow, nor rain, nor heat, nor gloom of night, stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds. So when Beth Jukuri encountered a misty, rainy day on her mail route last week, it made no difference, the mail had to go through. And from the looks of it, Beth still had to get some picture taking in, just so we’d get to see the beauty of a misty day on the route, too.
It looks like the flock of Canada Geese weren’t to keen on flying in the rain, so they were hanging out waiting for the all clear to take off again. The raindrops on the leaves and mist hanging on to the grasses are my favorites here today. It’s not something that hangs on that long, so I’m glad Beth spotted that and took the time to capture it before the wind came along and blew all those raindrops away.
It’s not raining in our video today, but there’s a big splash of water! Nancy Haun spied a beaver swimming along in a pond earlier this month and captured a shot of it as it slapped the water with its tail and disappeared.
