Beth Jukuri prefaced today’s photos with these words, “A sunset is what she wanted to see, and we found the perfect beaches! Thanks grandpa for driving us!” It seems her young granddaughter, who is always up for an adventure with Grandma Beth, made a request to view a sunset, so of course Grandma and Grandpa obliged, taking her to not one Lake Superior beach, but two to catch the sun going down. They headed off to McLain State Park for the first two shots. I love the one of her Granddaughter underneath the driftwood creation on the beach there.

Then from McLain’s, they hoped back in the car and made a quick run to Bucky’s, also known as Calumet Waterworks Park, where they were able to see the sun dropping closer and closer to the horizon. Beautiful, both the scenery and that these grandparents are teaching this little girl to appreciate the beauty that surrounds us here in the UP.

We head to Lake Superior’s opposite shore for today’s video. This time Ann Gasperich takes us to the shores of Gitche Gumee for “Seconds of Solitude” on the Gay/Lac La Belle Road.

Another nice set, although I would be a little leery about going underneath all those logs. Perhaps they are nailed solid???
