Taana Blom bought a new Canon, so she went out to shoot some geese and other things this past week. She started with an “other thing”, a small island that is in the Portage Entry near Chassell where she lives. I don’t know about you, but on a sunny, warm day, I think that would be a great place to go and hide away for some “social distancing”, with a comfy lawn chair and a good book.
After island hopping, Taana spotted a flock of geese coming in for a water landing, so she took some shots at, I mean, of them in action. It’s neat to watch them getting ready to land, they set their wings and start a glide, then the landing gear (their feet) come down as they near the water and kerplunk, there they are floating and tucking in their wings. It’s like a graceful dance.
We head north to Copper Harbor for today’s video. Another “Seconds of Solitude” from Ann Gasperich. This is another good place that’s just about perfect for the “social distancing” we should all be practicing, but of course, only if you already live there.
