Lake Superior has moods, much like people have moods, she can be wild, she can be calm, she can be entertaining, she can be soothing. Brita Haapala of Brita Caroline Photography recognizes the many moods of Superior in that she knows when she needs to clear her head, but her kids need to let off steam, that a trip to Brunette Park, is perfect for both activities. The new jungle gym of the fallen tree is perfect for the boys to climb on and perhaps pretend they’re shipwrecked on Treasure Island and at the same time, Brita can lay back in the sun-warmed sand and watch the waves crash over the rocks, soothing for her and fun for the kids.

While one of Brita’s boys was busy climbing on the fallen tree, another was tweaking his batting skills with a stick and a rock, trying for a grand slam. Those crashing waves were cheering him on.

Stay safe, stay healthy and stay home or at least 6 feet away from other people.

Nice pic's & video, what lucky boys!!

R.I.P. John Prine, You and your music will certainly be missed by a few of us on this site! It's a sad day for sure!!

Al Kaline and John Prine gone on consecutive days. A lot of talent left this Earth with those two folks. I remember a long time ago when the Tigers offered Kaline a contract for $100,00 a year. He turned it down by telling them it was to much and he wasn't worth that. Quite unlike today's athletes.
John Prine was one of the best song writers that ever was. He and Harlan Howard are my co-favorites. Tom T. Hall is probably my third favorite. Three through five vary, depending on who I have listened to recently.

Agree about John Prine; bet most people out there aren't aware of all the songs he wrote for others. Great talent and gone too soon!

I have a double cd of John Prine. One of Mimi and my favorites. Survived 2 bouts of cancer but the virus got him. So sad. Got a couple pcs of VHS tapes too.
