Where George C. Bailey lives on the north shore of the Keweenaw Peninsula, the setting of the sun is in full view, which makes it perfect for photographing. George did just that, capturing some of the dramatics that the sun going down, performs on the clouds in the sky. He starts out with a bright shot before the sun starts setting, next, one with the clouds turning dark as the sun goes down and finally the last two photos where the sun sliding down below the horizon, colors the edges of some of the clouds bright yellow and then turning to a reddish hue. Imagine being there in person to watch the changing sunset. It must be a glorious sight!

George was also able to capture a bit of video footage during the event, too. You can hear the wind whipping at this microphone, making me believe it must have been chilly filming and photographing that day.

Wow...gorgeous and dramatic.

You can see why they call it 'the golden hour'! Such gorgeous lighting for all the pictures - it changes so quickly at that time of day. And the video starting off in the sunshine and then fading to the dramatic difference between the pitch black clouds and the bright white snow! Beautiful set of shots.
