George C Bailey took a ride to Eben Junction this past week, to view the Eben Ice Caves. He said it was the first time for him and that although the ice and caves are on the side away from the sun’s direction, the clear day they were there helped a lot with the reflected light, to be able to see all the vibrant colors.
It’s about a three quarter mile hike in to the caves and ice cleats are recommended for both the hike in and for maneuvering around inside the slippery, smooth ice inside the caves. If you’re thinking about making a trek there, check out this link for tips: 4 Tips for Exploring the Eben Ice Caves.
Just in case you can’t make the trip there or are wanting to see more of it, today’s video is a must see. It takes you there in January last year.

Outstanding! The older woman at the end of the video has guts.

Just beautiful.
I suspect it's not a very safe place come Spring thaw.
