We’re going on another snowshoe adventure with Melanie Hakala Rossi and company. She’s taking us along, snowshoeing the Jacob’s Creek trail, with a bit of sunshine coming through the trees. The pond there on the trail is beginning to freeze around the edges, but is still open for the most part. I can just imagine the quiet there must be, standing still on the bridge and just listening to the nature surrounding them. Not quite as quiet when they encountered this small waterfall, with water still running amidst the snow all around it. So beautiful in the winter white.
Speaking of winter white and peaceful…Sharon Bodenus from Upper Peninsula Photography, shares her “It’s Snowing” video, so you can all get a feel (minus the cold) for what it’s like standing outside when the snow is coming down.

I appreciate the effort that goes into these pix and videos, but can't wait for "SPRING, SPRING, SPRING"!!!

There's a trail there now? I remember bushwhacking it from the Eagle Harbor Cutoff Road down to the falls probably 46 years ago or so.
