It was an exploring-the-Keweenaw-day for Melanie Hakala Rossi and friends. They headed to the Lake Superior shoreline at Fish Cove, where the waves were crashing against the Superior rocky shoreline. A stop at Keystone Bay was also on the agenda, where they found the water much calmer and the skyline virtually cloudless. Quite the difference. Then along the way, Melanie spotted those brightly colored mushrooms. So much to see, both big and small when you’re on a Keweenaw excursion.
Tim Conner grew up in the U.P. and said he wanted to create a short film highlighting how wild and rugged it is. He added that it's the part of the state that receives the least publicity, for good reason probably it's not the population center of the state, but it has some of the most genuine people he’s met anywhere, and amazing scenery. I’d have to agree with Tim on that!

My fondest camping memories are from the nights I spent on the shore at Keystone Bay. No ATV's back then though, I walked all the way from Copper Harbor and then back again.
Tim's video was great. I noticed on his original Youtube page that he was asked the location of that beach. Tim only teased with a non-response response. I don't think I'm giving away anything here by stating that it is almost certainly at the mouth of the Huron River.

Great video!
Just watching it makes me feel sorry for 'city people' who don't like/appreciate the outdoors. Maybe if some of them would get out into the UP they'd realize what they are missing. Others never will.
