A group of ladies joined Beth Jukuri on a hike recently at the Maasto Hiihto trails in Hancock. She said it is really beautiful hiking along these trails and a great workout, too. You can see the beauty in her photos, but also still some destruction from last summer’s flooding that is still evident there. Those are some big slabs of rock and stone that the flood waters tossed around, for sure. Hikers, bikers in the summer, skiers and fat tire biking in the winter, all enjoy this trail system.
Biking the trails in the summer looks to be quite the rush. Colin Pekkala takes a ride down “Aunt Flo” (the flow trail) in the Churning Rapids trail system, with his go pro helmet cam showing us the way. I think I’ll stick to hiking like Beth and the ladies!

Cool video...reminds me of trail riding though Palmer Park woods on my 10 speed Columbia back in the 60s.
