So, I have to say this right off the bat, today, I’m a bit prejudice about the smiling baseball player in the top photo, he’s my great-nephew! He is just so excited to be playing T-Ball, which you can totally see in his face. In this photo snapped by Krista Poirier, his coach was giving him some batting pointers. Normally in T-Ball, they bat off a “Tee”, but the coaches give them a few pitches to give them a chance to swing at and then if they don’t hit, they put it on the tee for them. This age in baseball is so fun to watch, the second shot is a scramble of kids trying to grab a ball that was just a short bunt.

Krista recorded the video also. That’s her friend’s daughter getting a nice hit and running to first base. Kudos to the coaches who have the patience to guide and teach them the basics of the game, so they can move up and on to higher levels.

I remember coaching my son in those years, trying to keep the kids from filling their ball gloves with sand & dirt!! lol

We used to bring our gas grill and cook hot dogs for everyone, or I'd go an empty LC Pizza from their Hot & Ready's, good times!! It was great motivation for the kids to keep their attention on the game... at least for two innings!! :=))

Mary, your great nephew is a cute kid! What a great smile! That's a tribute to the coaches for sure. They'll be ready to beat the Tigers soon..... wait, maybe they already are!

Way too cute! A future women's' softball player...how they whirl those fastballs over the plate, I'll never know.
